This person also taught a class of children at his church and suddenly the thought hit him while he was drinking: “What if the children from my church class come into this bar and see me in this situation?” He finally took the issue to God in prayer and this scripture helped him to see that he might be causing other Christians to stumble. He stopped drinking. He started going to weekly Bible studies and grew stronger in Jesus’ authority to say NO in Jesus Christ’s name to all sin temptations. Inspiration: I was brought up to go to church weekly but the only time I praised God was during that one hour service. Later on, after I had committed my life to Jesus Christ, I found that my walk with God was a personal relationship seven days a week and not just one hour a week event at a church service. My music used to be all secular but God gave me a love for praise music to adore Jesus Christ. In this maturing process, I now see how this psalm says to bless and praise God at all times. Later, God called him to another country and gave him the job of being an accountant which was a miracle since he did not know the accounting laws of the land. Jesus Christ gave him supernatural knowledge to do this job. His wife would pray all night for him at times. The executives of this company all saw the grace of God in his life and he spoke a prophecy in the board room that came to pass. Inspiration: Growing up, my parents taught me that no one likes a bragger. This was good natural wisdom that later helped me to do things for God’s eyes only and not to boast about my activities in public. I have made the mistake of bragging and found out later that it caused division between me and others who heard me. From now on I want 100% of the glory to go to God! Jesus Christ has done so much for us we need to brag about Him all the time and tell the world the great things He has done. Inspiration: I always prayed before meals at home but at work I found myself sometimes embarrassed to pray in front of others since the people at my table never prayed. Then when I saw someone else bow her head in silent prayer, I was convicted by the Holy Spirit that I was afraid of what people might say about me. I saw that I was not giving thanks or glory to God for my meal as this scripture was pointing out. I repented and asked God’s help for me to bring Him more glory. This person said to God: “Whatever you want me to do, I will do even if it means cleaning toilets.” The first day of Bible School, the Bible College director said there were no janitors at this school as they liked the students to volunteer for 2 week turns, to do these these services in order to build humility and servanthood in them. Inspiration: In High School, a young man disobeyed his parents’ good teaching and hung around an evil crowd. Later he was framed for a murder and went to jail with a life sentence. One day a young boy came to the prison fence and shared Jesus Christ with him. Later the boy became a leader on his High School student’s counsel and organized with the Principal for this prisoner to come and speak to the whole study body of the dangers of having evil friends. Overtime this prisoner gave his heart to Jesus Christ. He was released from prison years later, and has dedicated his life to preach Jesus Christ to teenagers and to warn them of the dangers of sin and to not follow the wrong crowd!
