Inspiration: A salesman struggled with alcohol. His career was so important to him that he often had to go out with his colleagues for a drink. This person also taught a class of children at his church and suddenly the thought hit him while he was drinking: "What if the children from my church class come into this bar and see me in this situation?" He finally took the issue to God in prayer and this scripture helped him to see that he might be causing other Christians to stumble. He stopped drinking. He started going to weekly Bible studies and grew stronger in Jesus’ authority to say NO in Jesus’ name to all sin temptations. He asks for Holy Spirit’s help to not please people but please God!

Inspiration: I was brought up to go to church weekly but the only time I praised God was during that one hour service. Later on, after I had committed my life to Jesus, I found that my walk with God was a personal relationship seven days a week and not just one hour a week event at a church service. My music used to be all secular but God gave me a love for praise music to adore Jesus. In this maturing process, I now see how this psalm says to bless and praise God at all times. I sing love songs to God now from my heart (not just songs about God from my head or getting into vain repetition without passion from my heart!)

Inspiration: A church leader taught on unforgiveness. His teaching explained that when you did not forgive someone, you actually keep them a prisoner in your mind so you are the one who is tormented and not them. By simply asking forgiveness, you let that person go free, out of the prison of your mind where you were holding them, and thus you are the one who is set free. This also is a command from Jesus as Jesus said if we don’t forgive, neither will our Heavenly Father forgive us of our sins!

Inspiration: A friend, who was raised to be a Hindu priest, left his roots and moved to a different country where he and his whole family became Christians. Later, God called him to another country and gave him the job of being an accountant which was a miracle since he did not know the accounting laws of the land. God gave him supernatural knowledge to do this job. His wife would pray all night for him at times. The executives of this company all saw the grace of God in his life and he spoke a prophecy in the board room that came to pass. About 5 years later, God called him to go to a Bible College in another country. The company did not want him to go and offered him more money but he refused and went on to Bible College and then eventually established a powerful Church with God’s help!

Inspiration: I always prayed before meals at home but at work I found myself sometimes embarrassed to pray in front of others since the people at my table never prayed. Then when I saw someone else bow her head in silent prayer, I was convicted by the Holy Spirit that I was afraid of what people might say about me. Inspiration: A rich man was selling multi-million dollar computers when God called him to go to Bible school. This person said to God: "Whatever you want me to do, I will do even if it means cleaning toilets." The first day of Bible School, the Bible College director said there were no janitors at this school as they liked the students to volunteer for 2 week turns, to do these these services in order to build humility and servanthood in them. This man was reminded of his prayer to God and volunteered to clean the washrooms to help burn the pride out of his life.

Inspiration: In High School, a young man disobeyed his parents’ good teaching and hung around an evil crowd. Later he was framed for a murder and went to jail with a life sentence. One day a young boy came to the prison fence and shared Jesus with him. Later the boy became a leader on his High School student’s counsel and organized with the Principal for this prisoner to come and speak to the whole study body of the dangers of having evil friends. Overtime this prisoner gave his heart to Jesus He was released from prison years later, and has dedicated his life to preach Jesus to teenagers and to warn them of the dangers of sin and not follow the wrong crowd!

Inspiration: A church leader who has attended church services in many countries discovered many people including himself, not being thankful enough to God. The presumption, ‘I have a right to live on this planet’ seems to prevail over the attitude that each day is a gift from God. He now wants to bless God and to be thankful for each day he is able to live on this planet. He says he needs to ponder on God’s goodness and worship Him more. He listens now to the birds singing each morning as a reminder to sing to God each morning and thank Jesus for a new day to advance God’s kingdom!

Inspiration: The Holy Bible tells us that in the last days, all creation will sing to Jesus with a loud voice and bless Him and worship Him. Revelation chapters 4 and 5 gives us a picture of this, as Revelations 5:9 says that Jesus has redeemed us to God by His blood. Jesus Christ, the only one who has never sinned, is the only one that can forgive you of your sins since His blood is perfect.

Inspiration: A businessman read the Bible for many years, but it was when he started studying it, meditating on certain sentences for a while and placing himself in the scenes in the Bible, that his faith really started to grow. God was able to speak clearly to this person through the Bible since he was studying and listening to the Holy Spirit for understanding of the Holy Scriptures. This businessman hears God clearly since studying the Bible helps you discern between your emotions and your intents versus God’s intents.
