Inspiration: A lady I met in Bible College had been healed by Jesus from lupus (a terminal disease). Before her healing, she and her husband had spent all their money on medical bills yet she steadily grew worse. Then they stood on this scripture and other healing scriptures and she was healed. She had to renew her mind to what the Bible says since she was living in fear and anxiety for 25 years. As she kept on worshipping and praying the healing scriptures in the Bible, taking authority in Jesus’ name over lupus, her lupus disappeared.

Inspiration: A close friend was all alone at his house when he felt sluggish. His son just happened to come home and called an ambulance. My friend told the medics: “it is not my time to go.” When the hospital emergency surgeons scoped the situation they found his aorta was split over 6 inches. They started the heart operation and later told the family, if he survives there will be brain damage. The son called me and we prayed Psalm 118:17 speaking life and not death over him. Jesus did the miracle! Jesus has totally healed him, with no brain damage as his memory is perfect. The doctors say he is a walking miracle! Glory to God!

Inspiration: A worship leader was playing the piano, and at the end of the service, a church leader came over to him, laid his hand on his head and said "Play the music of Heaven brother." The worship leader closed his eyes and tried to let Holy Spirit take over the music. The congregation did not want to go home but stayed another hour listening to this heavenly music which eventually became prophetic as Jesus used this music and words to prophesy to the people.

Inspiration: I was at a wedding when the groom was close to 50 years old and his bride was close to 40 even though neither of them had been married before. The bride had bought a wedding dress years before, in faith that God would send her a husband. Inspiration: A salesman struggled with alcohol. His career was so important to him that he often had to go out with his colleagues for a drink. This person also taught a class of children at his church and suddenly the thought hit him while he was drinking: "What if the children from my church class come into this bar and see me in this situation?" He finally took the issue to God in prayer and this scripture helped him to see that he might be causing other Christians to stumble. He stopped drinking. He started going to weekly Bible studies and grew stronger in Jesus’ authority to say NO in Jesus’ name to all sin temptations. He asks for Holy Spirit’s help to not please people but please God!

Inspiration: I was brought up to go to church weekly but the only time I praised God was during that one hour service. Later on, after I had committed my life to Jesus, I found that my walk with God was a personal relationship seven days a week and not just one hour a week event at a church service. My music used to be all secular but God gave me a love for praise music to adore Jesus. In this maturing process, I now see how this psalm says to bless and praise God at all times. I sing love songs to God now from my heart (not just songs about God from my head or getting into vain repetition without passion from my heart!)

Inspiration: A friend, who was raised to be a Hindu priest, left his roots and moved to a different country where he and his whole family became Christians. Later, God called him to another country and gave him the job of being an accountant which was a miracle since he did not know the accounting laws of the land. God gave him supernatural knowledge to do this job. His wife would pray all night for him at times. The executives of this company all saw the grace of God in his life and he spoke a prophecy in the board room that came to pass. About 5 years later, God called him to go to a Bible College in another country. The company did not want him to go and offered him more money but he refused and went on to Bible College and then eventually established a powerful Church with God’s help!

Inspiration: I always prayed before meals at home but at work I found myself sometimes embarrassed to pray in front of others since the people at my table never prayed. Then when I saw someone else bow her head in silent prayer, I was convicted by the Holy Spirit that I was afraid of what people might say about me. I saw that I was not giving thanks or glory to God for my meal as this scripture was pointing out. I repented and asked God’s help for me to bring Him more glory.

Discussion Questions: How often do you pray when you don’t know God’s will on the subject? How do you find out God’s will? Is God’s Word His Will and His Will His Word(the Bible)? Does faith begin when the will of God is known? How can you practise praying longer so you can be still before the Lord to hear His direction?

Inspiration: My brother shed some light on this scripture to help people determine if they are trying to earn right standing with God by good deeds, or whether their love for God compels them to love others. He said: "If you are passionately in love with Jesus, you will automatically keep the commandments and do justly, since both will flow out of the abundance of love for God." If you find following God boring or you have become luke-warm, then you have forgotten that Jesus has rescued you from hell and given His life for you.

Inspiration: A rich man was selling multi-million dollar computers when God called him to go to Bible school. This person said to God: "Whatever you want me to do, I will do even if it means cleaning toilets." The first day of Bible School, the Bible College director said there were no janitors at this school as they liked the students to volunteer for 2 week turns, to do these these services in order to build humility and servanthood in them. This man was reminded of his prayer to God and volunteered to clean the washrooms to help burn the pride out of his life.
