Inspiration: One Bible teacher was talking about winning souls, and that Jesus left the 99 sheep and went searching for one that was lost.  The teacher went on to say that winning souls is God’s top priority as Jesus wants all to be saved and none to perish.  This teacher said, unfortunately, most Christians are not really concerned with the lost. Instead, Christians need to pray longer, ask Jesus what His priorities are, and see that all Christians need to share Jesus, not just missionaries!

Inspiration: This scripture has been such a blessing to me in the time of trials. When I was going through these times, I would think that if God was looking after the sparrows, surely He was watching over me. As I pondered on the fact that God had counted all the hairs on my head, and that He knew all my thoughts, desires and struggles, I had complete reassurance that I was going to pull through the trial.  Jesus was and will always be my provider since I am completely surrender to Him.

Inspiration: A Bible teacher was teaching on words.  He said they are spiritual containers.  Picture them like jars. If scripture is spoken, these spiritual jars carry faith, hope, love and healing to a person or nation and that jar is poured out on the recipient.  The power of the words comes from a person who is submitted to the authority of Jesus Christ, and speaks the words with belief and authority in Jesus’ name.  We want to speak words of life not death, words from the scriptures, not words of doubt, fear and unbelief!

Inspiration: I used to work with youth on retreat weekends and they would talk about peer pressures of sex, drugs, alcohol, and dressing to fit in and be accepted.  A girl in our group shared a story with us.  She said one day her high school teacher was discussing sex education and asked the students about their views of sex.  This teenaged girl stood up in front of the whole class and said "Sex is only for marriage so keep yourself a virgin."  She was ridiculed by the teacher and even some students; however, this girl was really used by God then and later in life.

Inspiration: On a mission trip, one of the local church leaders spoke of the tribulation they went through in a civil war.  This church leader had a vision of all his village being killed.  He told everyone to pray.  The enemy came three times to attack the village but Jesus protected them each time.  The church leader said on one of the attacks, God confused the enemy so that, although they did land right on their shores, the enemy said to each other, "This is not the correct place.."  and left.  We need to be listening more to visions and dreams from God!

Inspiration: A software developer I worked with was a great example of God’s light in the business world.  She was born in China and came to school in America.  Christians on the school campus shared Jesus with her and she committed her life to Jesus.  After graduating and coming to work at our firm, she was willing to share how she was raised as a Confucian, and later became a Christian.  She was gentle and kind in her words, always thinking of others and remembering their birthdays.  She always bowed her head for grace at lunch in front of all the cafeteria people!  She was an inspiration to help some of the Christians who were ashamed to pray at lunch now start to bow their head and say a quiet grace to Jesus before eating!

Inspiration: One widow from our church started out in a woman’s shelter after her husband died as the hospital bills for her husband claimed her house.  She was faithful in all God asked her to do and was able to get into house with her 3 children.  She shared that God is faithful even though she had to trust him every day of her life.

Inspiration: Stock market crashes and terrorist attacks can have a major impact on the wealth of the rich.  This scripture clearly teaches people not to trust in riches but in God.  One Bible teacher talks about investments.  Instead of talking to people about a 10% gain in stock or a 20% gain in property, he asks them to consider investing in the Kingdom of God which has eternal pay backs.  The rich need to remember that strong minds and strong families are gifts from God.  A rich person becomes a tremendous blessing to God when they use their resources to bring the gospel and a Bible to every person in the world to learn of Christ.  Think of the impact you can make on a poor person!

Inspiration: A secretary on a tight budget writes out her tithe to the Lord as soon as the money comes in.  This secretary is a single mother and teaches her children to tithe, so that if someone gives one of the children a $10 bill, they put $1 aside to give to the work of the Lord.  Some people tithe on what they have left over but the wise tithe on their total income before any expenses since they don’t want to rob God of the opportunity to do miracles in their life!

Inspiration: An advertisement designer married a teacher and they have an excellent marriage because they remind each other that they are sinners saved by Jesus.  This stops a judgmental attitude towards each other, so that they help each other in their weak areas instead of criticizing.  This also saves marriages from self destructing!

Inspiration: One Christian said you must do an outstanding job for your employer for they pay you to do your job not to evangelize.  If you evangelize on company time then you are stealing from your employer.  However as you let your light shine, there will be opportunities to share Jesus after work or at lunch time.  People look at your smile and example of peace in all situations as you let Jesus calm all storms in your life.

Inspiration: An atheist saw a model of the sun and the planets on the professor’s desk and said to the professor:  "That is an amazing replica of our solar system.  Who made it?"  The professor said  "No one."  The atheist said "Come on, that model is so good, I want to know who made it?"  The professor said "You believe that someone made this tiny model but you cannot believe God made our solar system in which we live."  This example can help all of us remember that God is the creator of all life.  Some people get into confusion about how old the earth is but the bottom line is, that does not matter.  God made it.  You understand Jesus by faith not by some scientist saying this rock is 5 billion years old as God can create anything with age the instant it is created such as Adam and Eve who were instantly adults with age (they were not created as babies at age 0).

Inspiration: One sales woman said she was not going to get close to God until she was ready to die.  She didn’t realize the true abundant life in Jesus was waiting for her now.  She would have the ability to do so much more for Jesus during her lifetime and this scripture says she would be rewarded in heaven for her work on earth.  The life of sin only leads to torment so let us get going on God’s call on our lives!

Inspiration: The Bible shares God’s will in many places but some areas are revealed by prayer.  For example, one man was considering going to Bible College. Some students from a Bible College came to visit this man’s church and participated in the service.  After the service, one of the students put a Bible school application form in this man’s hand and said pray about it.  This was the confirmation he needed to go to a specific Bible College.

Inspiration: At the time of writing this calendar, I bowed down and knelt before the Lord, asking God to give me words to help set people’s faith on fire, for them to get a vision of the purpose for their lives, and by prayer would become ambassadors for Christ.  Worship is the source of my strength for it helps stir up my passion for Jesus, and for the love of God to spill out of me onto others, and the lost.  It helps me to take on God’s priorities not my own and remember why Jesus came to this earth!

Inspiration: At Bible College we learned not to judge the teachers by their preaching style (loud or soft) or by their clothes (dreary or fancy) or by their mannerisms (flamboyant or non-emotional) but to judge the words that they say.  So often people are prejudiced against others to the point that they switch them off before they hear what they have to say.  Most Christians feel their church is the best since it is what they are accustomed to.

Inspiration: An engineer and his wife who are also evangelists, shared that as they pray, Holy Spirit gives them names and facts about people they have never met.  One time while they were at a gas station, God told them some facts about another customer that was filling his tank at that gas station.  They walked up to the man and said:  "Are you so and so?"  "Yes" answered the man obviously puzzled.  They went on to tell him some facts about his life.  The man saw that God must be talking to him through this couple so he responded to God and asked Jesus into his life as the couple prayed with him to dedicate his life to God.

Inspiration: People today are ignorant of God’s Word because they do not read the Bible.  One of the ten commandments "Do not commit adultery" is broken not only by non Christians, but even by some Christians who say sex before marriage is permissible since they are ignorant of God’s laws.  However doing things God’s ways brings you peace and Jesus is willing to set you free from all guilt and condemnation if you repent and come to Him asking to follow Him!

Inspiration: A youth group gave our leader an offering of $500 cash in a sealed envelope but never told him how much it was.  When building a church in Mexico, our leader was short of some materials so he went to the big city to buy them.  The seller said the materials would cost about $500.  Our leader had forgotten his wallet but did have the youth offering.  He took out the sealed envelope and said: "This should cover it!" not knowing how much was inside.  The vendor counted the money and it just covered the cost with some small change left over.  He taught us not to waiver in faith or it could cost you.  His common expression was "If you doubt, you will do without!"

Inspiration: "Will there ever be world peace?"  was a question that came up at our dinner table and a guest answered:  "How can one have peace if one doesn’t have Jesus, the Prince of Peace in one’s heart."  My guest had a good point.  Not only is world evangelism needed, but personal peace in one’s own heart needs to be emphasized.  We all need to pray for each country’s ambassadors that they will become Christians and promote peace among the nations.

Inspiration: One church leader constantly gives God glory during his services.  In one service, I watched a seven year old mentally challenged boy get healed and start talking normally.  His parents said their son had never spoken a word in his life.  Then this church leader gave the microphone to this boy and asked him to sing the song "Jesus loves me."  The boy sang the song perfectly.  I was in tears of joy and felt God’s power in a tremendous way while the boy sang.  God got all the glory as skeptics could not say this was fake.

Inspiration: I was falsely accused a few years ago by a man and it hurt me because it was a blow to my integrity.  Immediately after it happened,  I heard God’s voice in my heart say:  "Pray for those who persecute you."  At first it was hard to do, but I was obedient to the Word of God and prayed for that man.  I now have compassion for him as I have seen some of the struggles he has gone through.   The secret about forgiveness is to forgive and forget.  Many people forgive but they do not forget the hurt and let those thoughts get them upset at a later date.  How thankful we are for Jesus forgiving and forgetting our sins.

Inspiration: Many people argue that there is no such thing as hell.  These people have not studied the Bible or else they would not take that position.  A Bible teacher shared that hell was created for the devil which is explained in Matthew 25:41.  God does not force a person to go to hell.  Jesus wants everyone to be with Him in heaven.  God is good and everything bad is from the devil.  The devil gets people to rebel against God.  It is the rejection of Jesus that causes separation from God, so it is the responsibility of each individual person to choose their eternal destiny to be with Jesus in heaven or be in torments with the devil in hell.

Inspiration: I was not as thankful as I should have been as I took many blessings from God for granted.  It was when I was flat on my back one day in pain, looking out the window, I suddenly saw the importance of rejoicing for every day that God gives us regardless of the pain or trials we are going through.

Inspiration: When I first read this scripture my thought was that sheep were smart enough to follow the shepherd’s voice, but Christians, including myself, don’t even know what the Great Shepherd’s voice sounds like.  This gave me new insight into prayer and to be still before God after praying for hours, where I have a pen and paper always ready in case God wants to share something.  God’s Word, the Bible, is the foundation for every Christian and He will never tell us anything that contradicts His Holy Bible.

Inspiration: Some churches have become so blind that they say the Bible is just a history book.  They preach from other historians rather than the Word of God and wonder why their congregations are dwindling since they grieve Holy Spirit.  The blessed and growing churches are the ones who preach the Bible as God’s Word and give altar calls each service for people to commit their lives to Jesus and let Holy Spirit do miracles in the midst of the people.  These churches have outreaches and help the lost see the power of God and get on fire for God with the calling on their lives!

Inspiration: Christians who have not seen Jesus are blessed because they have received Jesus by faith and not by sight.  One Bible teacher explained that this is the reason why Jesus did not stay on earth and show himself to everyone after His resurrection.  Jesus could easily extend Himself to be a giant, taller than the mountains, put a sword in people’s faces and say:  "Now, do you believe?"  Everyone would say ‘yes’ in that situation, not out of love, but out of fear for their lives and later rebel since their commitment is not out of love!
